Acceptable use of HF Chat

1. Ham Radio Discussions Only: All chat topics should be exclusively related to ham radio. Off-topic conversations are discouraged.

2. Respect Everyone: Treat all users with respect and avoid using derogatory language, slurs, or insults.
3. No Spamming: Repeatedly sending the same message or irrelevant content is prohibited.

4. No Personal Information: Do not share or request personal details, including addresses, phone numbers, or financial information.

5. No Promotion or Solicitation: Avoid advertising or promoting products, services, or websites unrelated to ham radio unless specifically allowed.

6. No Offensive Content: Do not share explicit, violent, or discriminatory material.

7. Respect Privacy: Do not disclose private conversations or screenshots without the consent of all involved parties.

8. Avoid Impersonation: Do not pretend to be someone else or mislead users about your identity.

9. Observe Copyright: Only share content related to ham radio for which you have the necessary rights or permission.

10. Follow Moderator Guidance: Respect decisions and instructions given by chat moderators or administrators.

11. No Malicious Links: Refrain from sharing links to harmful websites, including those with malware or phishing schemes.

12. Limit Use of Caps: Avoid using all capital letters as it’s perceived as shouting.

All IP addresses are tracked.  I don’t care if you have a VPN, I’ll find you.  

Users who violate these rules may be warned, muted, or banned from the chat, depending on the severity of the offense.
